In the mid 70's the movie Logan's Run with Michael York as Logan was a big hit. It also introduced moviegoers to a young Farrah Fawcett in a minor role. The story had Logan as a fururistic policeman in a youth run society. When people hit 30 they were suppose to go to the next plane of existance but still be alive. Some were scared of this and ran from the law. Logan's main job was to go after the runners. Then Logan finds out that they are actually killing the people once they hit 30. He finds this out just as he hits 30 years old when they add 4 years to his record when they suspect he is a spy after he makes a friend with a runners religous member. So they add the years in an attempt to make sure that he doesn't get a chance to tell anyone. Now Logan is the one who must run.

Logan's Run? Holy New Beginnings, Batman. I remember that movie. Took my girl friend to see it, (way back when). It was actually filmed at the Water Gardens in Ft. Worth, Texas. So I took her there after the movie. Made for a nice night.
Hey Rick,
I read your synopsis of "Logan's Run" and I would like to clear up one thing: in the film, Logan's "lifeclock" is advanced by the city's master computer to red (and blinking, indicating the time for alleged "renewal") in order to authenticate his status as a "Runner," which the master computer has initiated to send him on a mission to track and kill over 1000 unaccounted Runners, and destroy their haven called "Sanctuary." It is only after Logan recieves only silence after he asks if anyone ever Renewed in the mandatory ceremonial ritual, that he decides to make the undercover mission real, hence his famous run.
