Sorry for the crooked letterhead. Normally that is the fault of the printer but today it is because that is how the letters page was printed in the comic book that I had.

Tomb of Dracula

Wish I saw this around Halloween. I am not certain the year this was but I believe it was 1972 or 1973 since the letter shown mentions Tomb of Dracula #12.

I was just surfing the net and came across this page where I saw the above letters page from Charlton Comics E-Man from 1974. Can you believe the coined the word E-Mail?

Prez 1973

Well this wasn't the surprise that I had in mind. I had planned to show the letter page letterhead for the 1973 DC Comics series Prez. I didn't own any of the issues but I put the word out. A couple of benefactors said they would look as well for the issues. I found issue #3 but didn't have the cash on me to buy it at the time. One benefactor said he had the first two issues. However, the series only last 4 issues and back in those days sometimes there wasn't a letters page till issue 3 or 4. At the store where I found issue #3 there was a text page, not a letters page, called "Presidential Press Conference." That I would have put here if I had money on me at the time to buy it. (I did have my credit card but I now try only to buy things with cash unless it is an emergency.)
With all of that I decided to have a failsafe back-up. In this hopefully rare time I searched the internet and found a cover letterhead for the series to put here in honor of Election Day. Tomorrow it will be back to the letter page letterheads.
For those of you who searched and came up empty as I did, I thank you for your efforts. I have left out any names and links to avoid any type of embarrassment.

The Silver Surfer 1992

Next in our cosmic collection is this 1992 work of art from Marvel's The Silver Surfer. While the Surfer's own series from the 1960's is considered a masterpiece it was short lived. His late 80's and into the 90's series lasted much longer but it focused on superheroics. The 60's version had that too but its main focus was showing this outsider from space trying to make sense of this new world he was stranded on.
The next in the cosmic series will be added on Nov. 5th. I plan to post what I consider a special letterhead here tomorrow in honor of Election Day.
